Turn your free listing into a paid launch for $5. What unlocks and where to complete the upgrade.

The upgrade option
Free listings have one paid upgrade available: conversion to a full launch. The cost is $5, matching the price of a new paid launch. Invoicing and VAT treatment are identical to standard launches; charges are in US dollars with VAT added only where applicable.
What becomes available
Once you pay, your listing moves to paid status. The following sections unlock:
- Founder story
- Milestones
- Screenshots and demo video
- Comparisons
Your website link switches to dofollow. The Startup Biz Info badge is no longer required on your site. If your listing was queued (awaiting the badge or founder profile completion), it goes live immediately or in your chosen week at no additional cost.
Launch timing
Upgrading free listings not yet live lets you select a week from the available options. Current week means live now. Already-live listings remain live without change.
Your existing votes and reviews stay in place. Vote counts are never purchased.
How to upgrade
Sign in and go to /account/listings. Find your free listing and select 'Upgrades and extras'. The upgrade card appears first for free listings. Click the upgrade button and complete checkout as standard.
Questions people ask
- Which sections unlock when I upgrade?
- Founder story, milestones, screenshots and demo video, and comparisons all become available. Your website link becomes dofollow and the badge requirement is removed.
- Can I pick when my listing goes live?
- If it is not yet live, you select a week on the upgrade card at no extra cost. If already live, it stays live.
- What happens to votes and reviews?
- Both are preserved. Vote counts are never purchased, and your page address does not change.
