How do promo codes, gifts and offers work?

Entering and applying codes
Enter your code at /cart under 'Have a code?' and press 'Apply code'. The discount shows in the cart and at checkout. You can remove it in the cart if needed.
Codes are either a percentage or a fixed amount, deducted from the price before VAT is calculated. VAT, where due, is then worked out on the reduced total. If your code does not apply to items in your cart—because it is limited to certain products, a number of uses, or an expiry date—the cart tells you.
What codes do not cover
Billboard contributions are never discounted: the billboard ranking is based on money contributed. A code stacks with neither gifts nor offers. If an item already carries a discount, no further discount applies.
Gifts and offers from Startup Biz Info
Our team sends you an email link to a free gift or reduced-price offer. The item also appears at /account/gifts once you sign in with that email address.
A free gift attaches to a listing you select with 'Use it on' and works as a standard purchase would. A reduced-price offer goes through the regular cart and checkout at your set price, plus VAT where due.
Some gifts expire on a shown date. If you have no listing yet, add your product at /submit first, then return to claim the gift.
Questions people ask
- What happens if my code does not match what I am buying?
- The cart shows you the code does not apply. Codes may be limited to certain products, a set number of uses, or a deadline.
- Can a gift and a code reduce the same item?
- No. An item already discounted by a gift or offer gets no additional code discount.
- Do I pay VAT on a reduced-price offer?
- Yes. VAT is calculated on your discounted price and added at checkout.
