Which video links can I use?

Overview

Listings with the full profile (a paid launch) play videos on the listing itself. On a free listing the video section is shown locked. There is one main video, shown at the top of the screenshots. You can add up to 24 extra videos.

Allowed sources

Accepted: YouTube (normal links, youtu.be, Shorts, embed and live), Vimeo (private links too), Loom, Wistia, Vidyard, Dailymotion, TikTok, and an .mp4 or .webm file on the company's own website. A playlist, a channel link or an X/Twitter post is not accepted; you will see why on the form.

Add, label, reorder

The Videos section is under Account > Your listings > Profile sections. Paste, pick the kind, and optionally write your own title and a one-line description - the title from the link appears on its own. Move up, Move down and Remove arrange the list; 'Edit kind, title and description' changes a video. Pick a kind for each: Customer review, Demo, Promo, Tutorial or Other.

The listing

They appear grouped by kind, starting with customer reviews, then promo videos, tutorials, demos and other. Listings stay fast and private because nothing comes from the video site until play is pressed, using youtube-nocookie and Vimeo do-not-track. Every video carries its title and description, its length and upload date if the host provides them, and a 'Watch on <site>' link.

Across sites

Because videos belong to the company, each site listing it shows the same videos. Search engines and AI assistants can find the videos: structured data per video, a video sitemap, and llms.txt.

Maintenance

Weekly re-checks hide videos that are removed, private or not embeddable, email the owner once, and restore them automatically.
